General Fighting
-------------------
> Keep all characters in the back row by selecting them in menu and pushing them right. Alternatively, if you can take the damage while in front row, you also do 2x more physical damage (God bless you, Shadow).
> Different areas and monsters have biases towards defense, mDef, and evade. All areas should be possible for all heroes, but some easier than others
> Some monsters can be killed by destroying their MP. Most of these monsters look magical
> Elemental weaknesses are usually intuitive--Humans are weak to poison, Metal to lightning, Sea creatures to fire, and most green monsters are weak to fire also. Whatever the monster's habitat, the opposite is usually a weakness (Underground vs. wind). Undead are usually weak to Pearl (a.k.a. holy) and Fire. Dark evil things are weak to Pearl.
> Desperation moves were removed from heroes, so don't bet on them happening
> Floating no longer dodges earth magic, for monsters and heroes alike

Weapons, Items, and Equipment
-------------------
> Don't just buy everything
> Item descriptions are as short as possible due to technical issues (conserving space). All non-obvious effects should be described. You can click into the item to see everything it does
> Relics can be used to cure statuses when equipped
> Evade is worth 2x armor early on
> Vigor is worth 2x BP
> Remember that spears increase your heroes physical damage for all attacks, just like some relics. This effect doesn't stack twice, unlike increases to magic damage.
> Damage is much less effective after 64 evade or 128 armor (the halfway point) decreasing faster exponentially
> Missing some relics? Umaro is not stripped of his equipment by the helper in the airship

Gau & Mobliz
------------------
> When you first get Gau, you'll probably run into a veldt battle you can't run away from. Just leap to remove the battle and fight a few more easy ones until he comes back.
> Shadow will no longer leave randomly

Serpent Trench
------------------
> Turn right

Zozo
-------------
> You'll need 40 tonics at least, if not potions

Magitek Factory
---------------
> You should receive lots of potions here, but there are many sequential boss fights, so it's a good idea to have 40-50 by the first boss, although you can definitely use strategies to win without them
> Be prepared to get imped. Have a 5-10 green cherries handy
> Around 5 softs is a safe number also
> Magic attacks do well here, until reaching Cid

Airship Fun
---------------
> Intangir can't be killed, theoretically.
> Items in the auction house are mostly for money dumps, but Golem and ZoneSeek are still there as normal. The Marvel Shoes are excessively good. Reflect shields will not be available in the WoR, and they provide special advantages in the WoR that might be difficult to pull off if you're a newbie.
> Get the water dance! It's a good time
> Rages can be found via the Rage application included in this package

Emperor's Banquet
-----------------
> You might need two tinctures to blast through two hard fights easily (Mega Armor, Special Forces)
> Sprint with the Kikuichi or B button to dash

Flameater
-----------------
> You'll need tinctures (at least 600 mana) and to keep Strago alive. Learn ice on Terra! Morph+Esper attacks help too. The Atlantis does nice damage to balloons, and the Memento ring halves fire damage.

Finding the Floating Continent
------------------------------
> Magic is slightly favored in these fights
> Spick is weak to magic damage

Floating Continent
------------------
> Bring tinctures/ethers, fenix downs, and items that cure ailments
> This area could only be farmed comfortably for experience after grinding 5 levels or so, so this is really a place to just get through rather than enjoy in any relaxed manner.
> Magic exploitation can do wonders here, although high physical damage is quick and good

Atma
------------------
> This fight will take a good 10 minutes unless you have a high powered team
> Ailments abound in this fight
> Golem's esper attack will protect you from his Destroy attack
> Zoneseek and Carbunkl, as well as the mass-remedy esper attack also do great
> Cast shell and safe on everyone if you want things to be much more manageable, with relics that protect from ailments, though it will be a much longer fight
> The Dragons can only be stopped by high-stamina characters
> Setzer, ever the suave warrior, can continually jump if he's fast enough, and regen while in air, to avoid damage until a long-fought victory
> Throw those shurikens. Throw them.

World of Ruin

> You're stuck out there searching for hope. Just run until you have a better team or find safety. Be careful of ailments
> Esper-leveling characters can be retrieved by running from monsters until you have everyone (but Umaro & GoGo). The real drag about this is getting Locke from the Phoenix Cave...so maybe just hate Locke.
> Ragnarok will be a pretty sweet sword that is good until top-tier weapons come around, or it'll be an esper that gives you really powerful spells, learned at a slow x1 pace.
> Paladin shield is good for medium armor characters throughout the game, but Cursed Shield gives extra attacks, which can be taken advantage of theoretically. It cannot be used by Relm or Shadow, unless with a Merit Award.
> Enemies with a level difficulty of 45 and above give much higher XP
> Boss fights almost always give no XP, so you can use whichever espers are best
> Doom Gaze will start with a death spell, and gives a good weapon. Use the Doom Gaze Finder tool included with this package to find him
> Fanatics Tower - You'll need to be able to cast magic against reflective opponents
> Kefka's tower gives great XP
